FAA Lobbying

First Street Research -  The People & Organizations Lobbying the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Published: August 5th, 2011

The recent partial shutdown of the FAA was intensely debated in Congress and heavily lobbied by various groups. Yesterday, an agreement was reached to end the partial shutdown.  The shutdown impacted a wide range of industries from construction to accounting to aviation.  First Street provides a glimpse at some of the people and organizations that have been advocating on FAA issues.  HR 658 FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2011 was one of the bills that covered the FAA and received extensive lobbying.  The organizations that lobbied this bill spent over 50 million dollars on their total lobbying activity in the 2nd quarter of 2011.
